Terms of service
These terms apply when you use Alchemy, at tryalchemy.app or installed from it. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Alchemy is
Alchemy helps you collect recipes, adapt them to your preferences, build shopping lists, and cook. Some features use AI to import, generate, or adapt recipes; those features require a signed-in account.
Food, allergies, and dietary settings
This clause matters more than the rest, so it comes first. Alchemy's dietary modes and allergy blocks are best-effort software filters, not a guarantee. Recipes — including AI-imported and AI-adapted ones — may contain errors, omissions, or unexpected ingredients, and packaged foods change formulations. If you or anyone you cook for has an allergy or a medical dietary requirement, always check ingredient labels and the original recipe yourself. Alchemy provides no medical or nutritional advice, and you cook at your own judgment.
AI content
Recipes and answers produced or adapted by AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, or impractical. Review them before relying on them. We do not guarantee any particular result from an AI feature.
Your content
You keep ownership of the recipes and data you create or import. Sharing a recipe or list creates a public snapshot that anyone with the link can view. You are responsible for having the right to share what you share.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service: no attempts to bypass usage limits or sign-in requirements, no automated scraping of AI features, no interfering with other people's data, and no unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that do these things.
The service is provided as is
Alchemy is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free service, is zero.
Termination
You can stop using Alchemy at any time, and you can ask us to delete your synced data (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or end the service or your access to it for abuse of these terms.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
